The roster consists of 22 characters (14 initial and 8 DLC rosters). Since the appearance of Artoria Pendragon (Saber) in the initial roster, there is a storyline depicted a crossover between Fate and Tsukihime, dubbed as Neco-Arc Saga, due to Neco-Arc being the main antagonist of the two seasons. However, some of the characters' episode takes place within certain routes in Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon- or Tsukihime -The other side of red garden. Unlike Melty Blood Act sub-series, which took place after both Tsukihime's non-existing route of Satsuki Yumizuka (a year later), and Kagetsu Tohya (a month later) in original timeline, Type: Lumina takes place ten days before Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon.
